This is a nice hotel with a very clean and private beach. Possible to swim in the sea as it is in a bay. The only problem is the presence of some jellyfish. The hotel is the only one on the beach so there is a lot of privacy. It is in a quiet part of the island and rather far away from town. Food is expensive and to get to town one will need to go by taxi (expensive) or hire a car. Service at the hotel is very good. We had a complimentary airport pickup and they even provided transport to our next resort nearer town FOC. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Our stay an Tanjung Rhu was wonderful. No wonder that the beach features on the Malaysian Airways in flight information. Transfer from the airport to the hotel was warm and efficient. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is one of total relaxation.The food was of a very high standard, the beach is the best we saw on the island and the location in the national parh is stunning. Superb value for money if you want to chill out and take it easy. No night life other than what you make for yourself ! Hence very quiet and peaceful. Would we go again ? very definately yes.

We stayed at Tanjung Rhu for 4 nights. We absolutely love the place. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The service was excellent and the staff made us feel so welcome. Particularly Azahari the concierge manager, always ready to help with any request. The guy is so dedicated, even working when he was sick. You can spend the whole day at the resort as it is so self contained with many activities to keep you and the kids busy. Only thing to note is, if you are planning for a morning tour & want to call for room service. Better call room service early. It can take more than an 1 hour for them to send breakfast. If you are in a hurry, it is better to go directly to the Sands Restaurant for breakfast. We will definitely be back at Tanjung Rhu soon.
