Tanjung Rhu Restaurants

Budget eateries are almost nonexistent unless you count the Malay-operated stalls lining the roadside which don’t look particularly appealing. The restaurants located within Tanjung Rhu Resort and the Four Seasons are frankly the only places to eat along this waterfront but they’re quite pricey. If you’re up for the drive head on over to the Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah stretch where you can find a wider variety of culinary options; if not then the restaurants below will be sure to tickle your taste buds.

 Ikan Ikan
Built in the style of a traditional Malaysian home, Ikan-Ikan – Malay for ‘fish fish’ – offers Thai, Chinese and Malay-style seafood. The open-air teakwood deck is the best place to sit with its spectacular views of the ocean and garden. There is also a cocktail bar at this eatery; try the popiah cendana and the udang rosell.

Kelapa Grill
Easily the best place to have lunch along the Tanjung Rhu stretch, Kelapa Grill features Asian stir fries, wood-fired pizzas and other Western favourites; at night the beachside Kelapa Bar is the ideal spot to enjoy sunset drinks. You can savour excellent fare while enjoying the view of the beautiful Andaman Sea. Try the rib-eye steak with béarnaise sauce as well as the varied desserts the kitchen has to offer.
